After buying our new-to-us Livin’ Lite Quicksilver pop up camper one of the first things I wanted to do was secure our little camper in the driveway. With that being done, next up was to find a cover to protect it. Residing in the southwest part of the United States we mainly wanted to protect our pop up from the sun’s harmful UV rays and occasional rain/wind events.
After doing some research I found solutions that would be in the upper $200 dollar range for a custom fit cover. Kind of pricey. A member of the Livin’ Lite Facebook Group recommended a much cheaper option that filled my needs nicely.
Behold, our $37 dollar cover we picked up on Amazon.
Best cover to protect your pop up camper trailer
Product: 12×16 Multi-Purpose White Heavy Duty DRY TOP Poly Tarp
The size is 12’x16x and fits our trailer perfectly. We used bungy straps to secure it to the bottom of the trailer and on the front/back to make the loose ends look pretty. Incase you’re wondering, my trailer is 8’x10′.

As Amazon shows on their product page, you can also use this specialized tarp to cover and protect larger camper trailers and motor homes…
No knock against those who went with a more expensive cover. This was a decision based on my needs. I’ll let you know how it holds up in the California sun after next summer.
Happy trails!
